When precision is not just important, but essential…
Our laser cutting services are a perfect fit.
What is Laser Cutting?
Laser cutting is a sophisticated and precise technology used in various industries to accurately cut a wide range of materials. At its core, laser cutting involves the use of a high-powered laser beam focused on a specific point to create localized heat. This intense heat causes the material to melt, vaporize, or be blown away, leaving behind a clean, precise cut. The process offers exceptional accuracy, enabling intricate shapes and designs to be cut with ease.
Moreover, laser cutting is known for its versatility, capable of handling materials such as metals, plastics, synthetics, and more. This technology is widely adopted in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, electronics, and other sectors, where precision and efficiency are paramount. With the advancement of laser technology and computer-controlled systems, laser cutting has become an indispensable tool in modern production processes, allowing for faster turnaround times, reduced material wastage, and enhanced overall productivity.
Benefits of Laser Cutting
Precision and Accuracy
Laser cutting provides unmatched precision, allowing intricate and complex shapes to be cut with minimal tolerances. This level of accuracy ensures high-quality results and minimizes material wastage.
Versatility in Material Selection
Whether it’s metals, plastics, synthetics, or other materials, laser cutting demonstrates exceptional adaptability, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
High Cutting Speeds
The movement of the laser beam enables quick cutting speeds, significantly reducing production time and increasing overall efficiency.
Non-Contact Process
Laser cutting is a non-contact process, meaning there is no physical interaction between the cutting tool and the material. This eliminates wear and tear on tools, reducing maintenance costs.
Seamless Precision
Laser cutting produces clean edges with the help of post-processing, aiming to minimize the amount of burrs and achieve smoother surface finishes, customizing the approach for each material’s unique response.
Flexibility in Design
With the aid of computer-controlled systems, laser cutting allows for easy modifications to designs, enabling prototyping and efficient production.

EXPERIENCE THE PRECISION WITH RACHE CORP’S
LASER CUTTING SERVICES
Less Expensive Than Alternative Methods
Anything with the word laser in it is associated with a high price tag, but that really isn’t the case.
IN TRUTH, LASER CUTTING SERVICES:
- Have no upfront tooling costs
- No added fees or hidden costs
- Especially cost effective for custom jobs that may still need small changes and improvements
- Environmentally responsible without the use of any toxic chemicals
- Cost effective while achieving critical dimensions and precision and quality results
Laser Cutting Thin Metals—Fast And Precise
Thin metals are hard to cut, but laser cutting is a highly-repeatable process with consistent cuts every time.
HOW DOES IT DO WITH DETAILED CUTS ON THIN METAL?
- With a kerf of just .002” inside corners and fine details are no problem
- Plus, since there is no contact with the material, it leaves no tool marks
- List of materials that qualify for laser cutting
Laser Cutting Plastics And Synthetics
Rache’s laser cutting services are great for metals, but it doesn’t stop there.
LASER CUTTING AND ENGRAVING PLASTICS WITH BETTER RESULTS THAN CNC:
- Deeper, sharper markings
- Smaller detailed cuts
- No mask or chemicals required
- Ability to meet tight tolerances
frequently asked questions
Do we supply the materials?
The client will sometimes provide materials, most of the time Rache provides the materials and the client will provide the design files.
Do you have order limits?
Orders are typically between 10 to 10,000 but case depending, we can do more or less.
What materials can be laser cut?
What are the typical lead times for laser cutting services?
Lead times can vary depending on the workload and the complexity of your project. Discuss lead times and delivery schedules with Rache Corp so we can help ensure they meet your manufacturing timeline.
What tolerances can I expect from laser cutting services?
Laser cutting services can achieve high levels of precision, often with tolerances of ±0.1mm or better. However, the achievable tolerance may vary depending on the material and the specific laser cutting equipment used.
What file formats should I provide to the laser cutting service?
We typically accept vector graphics formats like DXF, AI, DWG or PDF. Contact us to ensure that your design files are in a format compatible with our equipment and software.
Why work with Rache Corporation?

Laser Cutting of
Titanium Cranial Mesh Plates
At Rache Corporation, we are an industry leader in laser cutting for metal, especially thin metals and foils. We pioneered and developed proprietary equipment that allows us to cut very thin pieces of metal in precision patterns. These cranial mesh plates are used in the medical industry during skull surgery.
Our expert engineers designed and built the equipment to produce these implant grade titanium plates. Typical plates measure 3" x 4", but we have produced a plate large enough to become the entire skull for one patient!
